Providing Environmental Friendly Solar Light to the Rural Village
A little though that can light up one's future.
In the rural villages, less than 20% of the home is connected to power grid. Basically they cannot afford to pay for the utilities and has to use kerosene lamps in the night. Providing a solar lantern to each home provides better luminance for study in the night. This is also safer compared to using kerosene lamps..
Kerosene lamps create harmful carbon emissions, and can cause burns, house fires and fume-related illnesses. The World Bank estimates 780million women and children are exposed to kerosene smoke, inhaling chemicals equivalent to two packs of cigarettes every day.
